Dear Sir

I have seen your note of this date and find nothing to object to in it excepting that forty thousand dollars is substituted for forty five thousand dollars. The clause excepting treasure found in Mexico, the eastern states and Europe is merely to defend our agents against any claims that may be brought against them for seizing treasure which they have no legal claim to

I would be glad if you would send to me a skeleton sketch of terms which you would agree to consider.
